Classic Golf Events has officially launched as the new home of two of Australia’s most compelling destination golf tournaments — the much-loved Sunshine Coast Classic and the all-new Mornington Peninsula Classic, set to debut in Victoria in 2026.

While the umbrella brand is new, the team behind Classic Golf Events brings years of experience delivering professionally run, highly regarded tournament weeks that combine quality golf, premium venues and relaxed, social competition. The launch marks the next step in the evolution of these events — bringing them together under one national fixture built around outstanding courses and memorable travel experiences.

Introducing the Mornington Peninsula Classic (April–May 2026)

The Mornington Peninsula Classic will be held from Sunday 26 April to Friday 1 May 2026, and will showcase four of Victoria’s most acclaimed courses: St Andrews Beacg, The Dunes, Portsea & Moonah Links.

Each venue offers a distinct style and strategic test, creating a varied and rewarding four-round stableford tournament across one of Australia’s most celebrated golf regions. The event includes motorised carts, daily lunches, player gift packs, grade prizes and access to exclusive accommodation offers at participating venues.

As the inaugural edition of the Mornington Peninsula Classic, early interest has been strong. Entries opened first to past Sunshine Coast Classic players and VIP newsletter subscribers, with a sizeable percentage of the field filling within the opening hours, underscoring the demand for a premium Victorian destination event of this calibre.

The Sunshine Coast Classic Returns — June & August 2026

The long-established Sunshine Coast Classic also returns in 2026 with two tournament weeks:

Played across Maroochy River, Palmer Coolum Resort, Noosa Springs and Twin Waters, the Sunshine Coast Classic continues to attract golfers from around the country seeking an enjoyable week of competitive golf in ideal winter conditions. The event is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, smooth organisation and consistently high-quality courses — a formula that has earned it a loyal following year after year.

A National Series Built Around Experience

Across all events, Classic Golf Events focuses on delivering tournament weeks that strike the right balance between competition and enjoyment. These are events designed not just for the scorecard, but for the experience — travelling with friends, meeting new playing partners and enjoying some of Australia’s best golf destinations in a structured, well-run environment.

With demand already building across all three events, golfers are encouraged to explore their options early and secure their preferred tournament.
